  1. A Public House is Born

    The Speculation Inn opens its doors mainly as a rabbiters pub, where local rabbit catchers meet to have a drink and deliver their catch to the cart coming from Pembroke tannery.

  2. A Legacy of Multiple Owners

    Throughout its rich history, the Speculation Inn has had at least eight different owners between 1846 and 2002, each leaving their unique marks on the establishment.

  3. An Irish Twist and Summer Festivals

    New owners gave the Speculation Inn a spruced-up Irish flavour, which became noted for its live music and summer festivals, continuing until it closed its doors in 2019.

  4. A New Beginning

    The Speculation Inn undergoes a complete restoration, preserving its authentic character while adding modern comforts and opening its doors once more as a public house in September 2023.
